Would you like to participate in By:Songs Recruit? We are currently looking for two women or non-binary people who can win a place at the songwriting camp in Sandvika in November.
/ 17/10/2024 / Kristian DugstadBy:Songs Recruit is a recruitment camp where new songwriter talent can gain exciting and useful experience.
TONO has been a partner with By:Songs for a number of years, and this year two producers or songwriters who are TONO members can win a place at the camp, which takes place from November 18th to 20th at Tanken in Sandvika.
Some participants from the camp will also be selected to participate in By:Songs' main camp in January, together with Norwegian and international renowned songwriters.
This time we are looking for two TONO members who are women or non-binary.
The reason for this is that women and non-binary people are generally underrepresented at camps. Equality and diversity are an important focus area for TONO with a view to creating a more sustainable music industry for everyone in the future. You can read more about this in this issue “Human rights organizations can play an important role in sustainability”.
The winners will receive a participation fee including a simple lunch each day during the camp, as well as a closing dinner sponsored by TONO. This will take place during a listening session at Folkebadet in Sandvika after the camp has ended on November 20th.
You must arrange and pay for your own travel, accommodation and other meals.
Here you can hear released songs written on By:Songs.
Application is sent to Svanhild Katrine Skrede in the TONO membership department by October 31. The winners will be announced on Monday, November 4.
Send a short bio telling us about yourself and your songwriting career. Please say something about why you are motivated to participate in By:Songs.
Attach a link to music you have co-written. This could be, for example, a playlist on a streaming service or a folder in a cloud service like Dropbox.
