Guide to digital customer portal My TONO

The TONO license is the first step towards the concert experience and our digital customer portal. My TONO is the fastest and easiest way to get a TONO license in advance of your event and deliver a concert report afterwards.

Vær obs på at portalen per dags dato kan brukes i forbindelse med vanlige enkeltkonserter. For å kunne benytte portalen må du ha et organisasjonsnummer. Dersom du arrangerer festival, turné, revy og humorshow skal du bruke vårt web form to apply for a TONO license for your event.

On this page you will find instructions for registering and using the customer portal.

If you have any questions or need help, please contact us by email. marked@tono.no or phone 22 05 72 95.

It's easy to create a customer user on My TONO. Go to m.tono.no/login and click the button to create a new user and select customer. Fill in your email address and follow the steps on the page.

Remember that the user you create is personal and can be linked to multiple customer relationships at the same time. If you represent multiple customer relationships, you can use the same user. You can also remove the link to a specific customer at any time if you no longer represent the organization.

If you already have a user in Mitt TONO, either as a member or for reporting religious ceremonies, you can link the user to a concert organizer. Then log in as normal and follow the next steps.

Once you have created a user, you can associate yourself with one or more customer relationships. Select Roller in the left menu and click the button + CUSTOMER.

Fill in the organization number of the customer you are going to represent and click saveIf this is a new customer who has never purchased a TONO license before, you are now ready to use the portal.

If the customer you are going to represent already has a customer relationship with TONO, you must fill in the customer number and a previous invoice number. This can be found on a previously received invoice.

If you are missing your customer number or invoice number, you can contact us on 22 05 72 95 or marked@tono.no.

Before you hold your event, you must obtain a TONO license.

In the left menu, click on concert - Concert applications - Apply for permissionYou can also press the button Apply for permission directly from the front page on the user side.

Fill out the form and click Finish to send the form to TONO. We only need to know the time and place of the event, as well as the artist who will be playing, in advance of the event. The license is granted automatically and you will receive a confirmation by email.

You can now find the application in the list below. Concert applications on your user.

When the event is complete, you must send a report to TONO. We need this to calculate how much you paid and know which songwriters and composers will receive the money.

Click Concert applications in the left menu and click on Complete report on the current application.

Fill out the form with information about the event and a list of the music that was performed. The next section of the guide is about how to fill out the music list.

Click Send to TONO.

In addition to providing information about audience numbers and ticket revenue, we ask that you fill out a music list. Please provide us with as accurate information as possible. This helps us ensure that the right music creators get paid.

Please provide one musical work per line in the music report. Under copyright holders, provide the name of the composer/songwriter/lyricist. The field has a limited number of characters, so please only provide the last name followed by the first letter of the first name (see image below). Often, it is sufficient to provide one of the original music creators for us to identify the correct work.

If a specific musical arrangement of the work has been performed, the name of the arranger must be listed among the copyright holders so that we can link the work to the correct version.

Under minutes and seconds, enter the playing time as precisely as possible. The playing time will be the starting point for a percentage reduction in the price of the license if any of the music performed is not TONO-managed.

If any of the works are not TONO-managed, please tick this box. TONO manages rights to both Norwegian and international music. Music that is not managed by TONO typically applies to music where the people who wrote the music and lyrics have been dead for more than 70 years. Please note that such free works may have received new copyright protection due to a new musical arrangement. If this is the case, do not tick the box for "not TONO-managed."

Remember! TONO manages both Norwegian and international music

When the report is completed, send it to TONO.

TONO will shortly send an invoice based on the information you have provided.
