In October, songwriters and producers from Norway and the rest of the world gather in Trondheim for what has become one of the country's largest songwriting camps. Since its inception, the camp has resulted in over 570 million streams on Spotify alone.
For many years, TONO has been a partner of Song:Expo, which is organized by Musikkontoret Tempo. The goal is to help export Norwegian songwriters and their music to an international market.
This year's Song:Expo consists of a national camp October 21–24 and an international camp October 24–29.
The national camp is open to professional and up and coming songwriters and producers from or residing in Norway. No experience from songwriter camps is required to participate.
The international camp brings together experienced songwriters and producers from around the world. Previous editions have featured participants who have written for artists such as Kanye West, ZAYN, Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys, as well as some of the world's biggest K-pop artists.
The application deadline is August 23 at 11:59 p.m.
