At TONO's board meeting on June 16, Bendik Hofseth was appointed chairman of TONO. Jørgen Karlstrøm, chairman of the Norwegian Composers' Association, was appointed deputy chairman. Members were also elected to other central bodies in TONO.

In TONO's board meeting on Thursday, June 16, Bendik Hofseth (vacant seat/NOPA) was elected chairman for the period until the annual meeting in May 2017. Hofseth has been chairman of TONO since 2013. Jørgen Karlstrøm was elected as a new board member of TONO at the annual meeting on May 31, 2016, and was elected deputy chairman by the board.
TONO's articles of association state that the board shall appoint a board committee consisting of the chairman and deputy chairman of the board, one board member from the association that does not have a chairman or deputy chairman, and one of the board members mentioned in § 28 (2) of TONO's articles of association. After the board meeting on 16 June, TONO's board committee consists of chairman Bendik Hofseth, deputy chairman Jørgen Karlstrøm, Ingrid Kindem and Kai Robøle. Independent representative Ine Hoem has observer status.
The TONO board appoints the TONO distribution committee. The board meeting on June 16 elected the following members to the TONO distribution committee: Kai Robøle, chair (Music Publishers), Tove Bøygard, deputy chair (NOPA), Odd Steenberg (Music Publishers), Bjørn Eidsvåg (NOPA), Klaus Sandvik (Norwegian Composers' Association) and Ine Hoem (independent).
TONO's music and lyrics committee is appointed by the board for the board period, and is composed based on consideration of relevant professional expertise. After the board meeting on June 16, the committee consists of the following members: Geir Holmsen (NOPA), Kari Iveland (NOPA), Kari Beate Tandberg (Norwegian Composers' Association), Bjørn Morten Kjærnes (MF) and Christian blom (Norwegian Composers' Association).
