TONO's annual meeting and elections to governing bodies

TONO's annual meeting will be held on May 23 at 5:00 PM at the Literature House in Oslo. If you are a TONO shareholder and wish to stand for election, or have suggestions for other candidates, you can notify TONO by Friday, March 29 at 4:00 PM.

The following elections will be held this year:

Five board members (2 years), cf. § 30 (1)-(4), cf. §§ 28 (1) and 31 (1) and the Cooperatives Act § 69 (1), point 5
Five alternate representatives to the board (2 years)
Control Committee with personal deputies (2 years), cf. Section 53
Scholarship committee* with members (2 years), cf. § 58 (2) b (with/any amendments)
Election Committee with personal deputies (2 years), cf. Section 24 (1)

Regarding the election of the scholarship committee: According to the current arrangement, only the two vacant seats on the scholarship committee are elected by the annual meeting. This year, a change to the statutes will be proposed that means that the entire committee will be elected by the annual meeting. The election committee will therefore nominate candidates for all of the committee's positions. If the proposed amendment is not adopted by the annual meeting, there will, as before, only be elections for the two vacant seats with alternates.

Only cooperative members may be elected to positions of trust in TONO, cf. Section 9.

If you are a shareholder in the cooperative TONO SA and have suggestions for candidates that you would like to include, please contact one of the committee members or Helene Rognøy, tel. 22 05 72 00 or by sending an e-mail to 23mai2019 (a) tono.no, by Friday, March 29rd at 16 p.m. There is also the opportunity to stand for election by bench proposal at the annual meeting.
