TONO PAYS 27,5 MILLION NOK

On May 5, TONO will pay out NOK 27,514,619.55 to music creators worldwide. This is the settlement for music streaming that was announced in March to be postponed until April, and which, after further quality assurance, is now ready for payment.

As announced in March, the music streaming settlement was separated as a separate payment in connection with TONO's transition to a new settlement system. We also announced last week that the payment, which was to be made at the end of April, had to be postponed somewhat due to necessary quality assurance and error correction in the transition to the new system. We apologize for the delay this has caused.

The check has now been completed and the payment is ready.

This payment includes music streaming, and the amount settled is NOK 27,514,619.55.

A total of 27,957 TONO members will receive payments in May. Based on their social security numbers, we can see that among these there are 5,323 women and 22,190 men.

WHERE THE MONEY COMES FROM

Below you can see which use, in which periods, is included in this payment. There are also routine post-clearance adjustments and corrections for previous periods (up to three years ago).

 

OTHER INFORMATION

On My TONO, TONO members can view their balance and all movements in their member account at any time. There, they can also search for settlement data for individual works across periods and categories with details about the individual transfers. Settlement vouchers showing the number of transfers per channel and area for the individual settlement runs are available for download. You can download the settlement information in PDF format or as an Excel spreadsheet. The vouchers are available from the "Documents" menu on My TONO.

TONO reserves the right to make any payment errors due to circumstances beyond our control. If such an error results in a licensee receiving too much or too little payment, the error will be corrected by a subsequent payment or offset in the next payment.

There is a lower payout limit of kr 250 for members with a bank account in Norway and kr 1,000 for members abroad. Amounts below the limit are accumulated and paid out when the limit is reached.
