About the role:
This is not a narrow specialist role. You will work in parallel with a broad portfolio of cases, with high demands for precision and accuracy – from copyright and licensing, via agreements and IT procurement, to privacy, compliance and issues related to corporate governance. The role involves close collaboration with management and input into board and annual meeting processes.
Tasks:
The tasks will include, among other things:
- Internal legal advice to TONO's departments and management, particularly within copyright, rights management, licensing and agreements
- Legal assistance in connection with agreements with customers, partners and suppliers, including agreements related to IT solutions and digital services
- Contribution to work on IT procurement and IT agreements, in collaboration with professional environments within technology, finance and purchasing, with a focus on contract structure, risk assessment, liability and compliance
- Contribution to the ongoing work on compliance and data protection (GDPR), including legal assessments, internal guidance and support to the organization
- Preparation and quality assurance of memoranda, draft contracts, internal guidelines and consultation statements
- Contribution to board and annual meeting processes, including case preparation, legal assessments and decision-making basis
- Coordination and follow-up of cases where TONO uses external legal assistance, and ensure that the deliveries are adapted to TONO's needs and practices
We are looking for you who have:
- Master in Law or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant experience (e.g. in-house legal counsel, public administration, organization, contract or compliance work)
- Academic expertise in copyright, through studies and/or practice
- Interest in – and preferably experience with – business-related law in combination with technology, digitalization or IT-related issues
- Interest in – or experience with – legal issues related to artificial intelligence (AI) and new technology
- Very good written and oral presentation skills in Norwegian and English
