The music industry is changing rapidly, and data analysis is becoming central to the development of new business models, services and products. TONO has recently established a development department responsible for development work related to digitalization processes and business support.
The department is responsible for, among other things, a comprehensive change program that will facilitate self-service for customers and members, automation of business processes and the introduction of new technical solutions. To strengthen this work and help realize TONO's ambitions, we are looking for you who are motivated by development and change. In this role, you will develop a good understanding of the music industry, TONO's operations and business needs.

 

As a data analyst, you will: 

  • Support TONO's need for insight to optimize business processes, customer relationships and revenue streams as well as the need for mandatory reporting to authorities and others
  • Contribute to implementing data warehouses and BI tools in TONO
  • Contribute to IT development projects to ensure that the data architecture supports the business's needs for insight/reporting
  • Analyze market data, for example in connection with campaigns, price models and impact measurement
  • Analyze and prepare data bases for the distribution of remuneration in income areas where usage data is missing
  • Analyze how data can be structured to achieve a higher degree of self-service on the portal and a higher degree of automation in internal processes
  • Be part of our transformation program Mjølnir, which handles a number of stakeholders such as members, customers, sister societies, professional departments, the board, etc.

 

We are looking for you as: 

  • Have a higher education at university or college level, for example in statistics, mathematics, computer science or similar and relevant work experience
  • Has analytical skills related to working with structured and unstructured data sets
  • Has experience with collecting, processing and visualizing large amounts of data
  • Have experience with SQL, Python, Databricks or similar
  • Is structured and results-oriented with good communication skills on both a professional and interpersonal level.
  • Has the ability to visualize and transform complicated issues in an easy-to-understand and informative way
  • Are interested in new technology based on pattern recognition,
  • machine learning or AI
  • Has a generally good understanding of IT systems and the ability to communicate well and clearly, both written and verbally across users and developers

TONO grants permission for the use of protected music, for example on radio, TV, the internet, concerts and cinema for a fee, and transfers its financial result to music rights holders every year. TONO's social role is twofold through, on the one hand, collecting and simplifying the licensing of protected music, and on the other, providing music creators with an economic basis for creating new musical works.
