– Writing rap lyrics for me is like solving crossword puzzles, says Ivan Ave in this TONO Sessions interview with Trond Wiger from Trondheim Calling earlier this year.

Now a new interview in our video interview series TONO Sessions is ready! This time we can offer rapper Ivan Ave in conversation with Trond Wiger, also a renowned rapper. In the interview you will get an insight into how Ivan Ave works on his songs, and hopefully there is a lot here for inspiration and learning for other TONO members.

– The reason we are running the TONO Sessions series is that we want to draw attention to the fact that music creation is a valuable work that music lovers should not take for granted. For us at TONO, this is also a way to show the fruits of copyright. Copyright makes it possible to earn income from creating music, and is a fundamental prerequisite for Norwegians to have access to constantly newly written music. We also want to inspire our members to write new music, and we hope TONO Sessions can contribute to that, says TONO's communications manager, Willy Martinsen.

There are now almost 60 videos on TONO's YouTube channel, and more than 20 of these are TONO Sessions interviews. Visit the channel by press here.

The first TONO Sessions interviews were conducted in 2014 following an idea by TONO and Askil Holm.
