– The ambition was to cover Beatles songs in the band we started when we were 13-14 years old. It became too demanding, says Bjørn Eidsvåg.
He hardly needs any introduction. Few songwriters have a similar position in Norway today. And he writes sweepingly fine songs. There were several compelling reasons to ask Eidsvåg, a TONO member since 1976 and a current board member of TONO, if we could get a little under his skin. the songwriter Eidsvåg.
Eidsvåg reveals, among other things, that he prefers to write music at the cabin, that he invents chords by playing incorrectly, that he likes to play in major and minor – and that he has a “strong romantic relationship with TONO”. Askil Holm, an established songwriter himself, is interviewing. The recording was made at Riksscenen in Oslo, and the production company Sheriff Film Company filmed and edited it. Thanks also to 4Sound for lending Bjørn the Gibson J-35.
