Copyright, streaming, Prince and how to benefit from music publishers. These are the keywords for the four by:Larm seminars organized by TONO and TONO's group associations NOPA, the Norwegian Composers' Association and the Norwegian Music Publishers' Association, respectively.
/ 27/02/2014 / codexby:Larm opened last night, and will host a total of 200 concerts with 111 artists on 12 different stages in the area around Youngstorget during this long weekend. The seminar section is underway, with a packed program on Thursday and Friday. TONO is clearly present with the TONO lounge, next door to the Wimp tent and not least with the artist check-in.
This year, TONO also has two events in the seminar section. One is a seminar called "Copyright for dummies", which gives you, as a rights holder, basic knowledge about your most basic rights as a music creator. We also have a panel debate about the streaming economy, where for the first time we will publish the precise percentage of the Norwegian share in streaming services. More info here: and here:
TONO's group associations NOPA and the Norwegian Composers' Association have chosen to add one of their monthly "Music Forums" to by:Larm. You have free admission to the event, which will take place on Friday, February 28 at 6:30 PM at Kulturhuset. The theme is Prince, and you will meet Christer Falck, author of the book "Shockadelica", which deals with the legend. Co-author Petter Aagaard is also participating, as is Anne Danielsen, professor of musicology at UiO. More info here:
The Norwegian Music Publishers Association is bringing together a panel consisting of Ida Jenshus, Mats Lie Skåre, Steinar Fjeld and Frithjof Hungnes, who will share experiences regarding music publishing collaboration and how Norwegian music publishers can help you best reach out nationally and internationally with your music. This should also be of interest to many. It all takes place at 12 noon on Friday at the Norwegian Congress Center, meeting room Forum. Read more here:
