TONO's annual report for 2010 shows a profit increase of 6,1%, following the record increase of 14% in 2009.
/ 29/06/2011 / codexRevenue in 2010 was NOK 388,8 million. Profit for distribution was kr NOK 330,7 million. In 2010, we distributed NOK 125 million to Norwegian licensees, while NOK 158,2 million kr went abroad.
Revenue from digital music services in Norway increased by 75% from 2009 to 2010. Streaming services are mainly responsible for the increase in revenue. Download services remained stable.
“After a slow start in 2009, we have seen a significant increase in the number of subscribers to streaming services in 2010,” says Cato Strøm, CEO of TONO. We are optimistic about the current year and expect strong growth in 2011 as well. The number of subscribers is increasing month by month,” concludes Strøm.
TONO's revenue from concerts also continued to increase in 2010, although the increase was not as large as in previous years. Concert revenue increased by 5,5% in 2010.
