TONO launches the podcast "Spillelista" on June 24. Here, podcast host Guro von Germeten meets interesting and high-profile people from different parts of society for conversations about how music has shaped them and what music they love.
/ 24/06/2022 / Kristian DugstadOn Friday, June 24, TONO launches its new podcast, Spillelista.
- There is a need for a podcast about the meaning of music for listeners, seen from the perspective of those who make it, and which TONO is synonymous with. Our podcast host Guro von Germeten is a TONO member, songwriter, artist and music researcher, and meets interesting people for good, deep and interesting conversations about what music means to them. Listeners can look forward to many great conversations throughout the autumn, says TONO's communications director, Willy Martinsen.
The first episode of the podcast is available wherever you listen to podcasts. Check it out here at Spotify or Apple podcasts.
Podcast host Guro von Germeten is a songwriter, artist, musician, singing teacher and music researcher. The playlist is Guro von Germeten's first experience as a podcast host.
– I have long been fascinated by what kind of music people like, love and how they connect with music. But also how they use music in everyday life, and use it to become who they are. The conversations so far have been both moving and funny. I am honored by how much these well-known and beloved personalities share with Spillelista precisely through sharing their music. As a songwriter and artist myself, it is also good to be reminded of the power of music and how important it is to many people's lives, says Guro von Germeten.

"Spillelista" with Guro von Germeten follows TONO's previous podcast "Lage Musikk", with Torgny Amdam. And where "Lage Musikk" was 65 conversations with those who make the music, Spillelista is about those who listen to the music of the composers and lyricists from around the world that TONO works for.
– It is a fad for TONO to remind people of the value of music, both economically, culturally and emotionally. The composers and lyricists create the soundtracks to our lives, and this is what we want to explore with this podcast: How listeners receive, use and love the music that the composers and lyricists create, says Willy Martinsen.
Starting today, two episodes will be released in the following weeks before the podcast takes a summer break. From August 17, new episodes will be released every Wednesday throughout the fall. Recordings have already been made with KK editor Ingeborg Heldal, TV personality Tore Petterson, folk singer, comedian and playwright Igor Dunderovic, chief economist at NHO Øystein Dørum, actor Sven Henriksen and more. Top politicians, cultural figures, artists and top athletes will also visit the podcast throughout the fall.
