The page will be briefly summarized as a news channel and a dialogue channel with especially those who are associated with TONO, but everyone is of course very welcome! TONO is a community of interest consisting of 23,000 Norwegian authors, in addition to representing the world's other "TONO organizations" in Norway. It is a goal of the Facebook page that it will help strengthen the TONO rights holders' experience of being an important part of this community, and to raise their awareness of their existence as authors when it comes to rights etc. We will also try to contribute with inspiration to people's everyday life as composers and songwriters.
The Facebook page is not intended to be one of the main channels for member or customer service inquiries. This is a choice we have made, among other things, because it is important for us to systematize inquiries in our member and customer service systems, so that we can ensure good follow-up and have control over things. At the same time, inquiries we receive are often personal in nature (private finances, etc.), and for that reason it is better to keep this out of public channels. We will of course still answer if there are questions! We will have an open dialogue on the page. We do not intend to delete anything - if, contrary to expectations, there should be any statements that are contrary to Norwegian law, personal attacks or similar. We must also reserve the right to remove messages that promote commercial businesses, without us believing that there will be any problem. As I said, the important thing is to have an open dialogue! We would also like to mention that TONO employees also need to recover after hectic working days, and therefore we treat ourselves to free time in the evenings and on weekends. The site will therefore initially be staffed between 8 a.m. and 16 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Today's launch is a small beginning. We will work to develop the site further along the way. If you have ideas and input, or tips for issues we can cover, for example editorially, then please share them.
