TONO launches new animated film to explain our vision of value for everyone who creates and consumes music.
/ 07/02/2025 / Kristian DugstadWe know that music rights can be complex.
There's a lot to understand, whether you're a music creator who wants to get paid for your songs, or a music user who wants to play a customized playlist in your cafe.
Fortunately, TONO makes it possible to use a world repertoire of music, while at the same time getting paid by the songwriters. In many cases, if you are using music in a store, salon or restaurant, you don't need to know much more. As long as you have the license, we do the rest.
But we still think it's important that those who will use the music understand why they have to pay for the TONO license. It's equally important that music creators understand TONO as well.
When music is used at concerts, in cafes, on TV or other public arenas, TONO ensures that the rights holders receive their payment.
With a TONO license, all places that use music can do so easily and legally. This ensures that music creators receive the compensation they are entitled to, while music users can enjoy a wide repertoire without worry.
This is the message of the new animated film that TONO is launching today. As a link between those who create and those who use music, we work every day to realize our vision of creating value for those who create and use music.
The film is produced by Animaskin and is accompanied by commissioned music written by Gaute Tønder.
