– The work of securing rights holders' terms in digital distribution of music is important and exciting. It is a vote of confidence to be re-elected for two new years in this international forum for the management and licensing of rights in digital media, says Inger Elise Mey.

One of CISAC's most central forums
CISAC is the global umbrella organization for collecting societies, and this committee is one of CISAC's most important international forums for exchanging experiences, issues, results and strategic thoughts in the area of copyright in digital media.

TONO will continue to chair the annual CISAC MTC conference for the next two years, which brings together over 120 experts and key figures from copyright societies from all corners of the world. TONO will play a leading role in the work on copyright and framework conditions in an international perspective for the various management organizations from all over the world. The issues facing creators and their management organizations are largely cross-border.

The CISAC MTC is a central forum for licensing experts and corporate lawyers to meet to exchange experiences and think strategically with a global perspective. It is therefore important for TONO's administration to have a leading role in the international work on copyright and creators' framework conditions.

Licensing of platform services and cross-border broadcasting services
– In the coming period, I intend to place greater focus on the licensing of platform services and the distribution of cross-border broadcasting services. There is an ongoing development of the legal framework for global music services that could have major consequences for our members, so it will be central for CISAC to continue working on this in the future. I will contribute with my experience and professional expertise in the area, and at the same time hope that I can help increase the proportion of women in this important media technology forum.
