TONO settles 99,4 million

TONO settles 99,4 million kroner this week. The last quarterly settlement of the year is larger than in previous years, and TONO members receive 51,9 million kroner. 46,8 million goes to licensees abroad.

This week, TONO's fourth and final quarterly settlement of 2019 will be released. A total of NOK 99,4 million will be settled to copyright holders at home and abroad. NOK 51,9 million will go to TONO members while NOK 46,8 million will be sent to copyright holders in other countries.

As usual, an amount is set aside for unidentified rights holders and musical works, as yet unannounced musical works, non-members and disputed rights. This time, this amounts to kr 700 000.

Settlement areas

All NRK, Bauer Media and the P4 group's 33 channels, as well as local radio, are settled for the second quarter of 2019. NRK and TV2 and TV Norge's TV channels are settled for the same period. In addition, NRK's ​​online player for 2018 and TV2 Sumo (including C More and Hayu) are settled for the first half of 2019.

From the online area, both video and music streaming are billed. Spotify is billed for June 2019, Tidal for March-May 2019 and Apple Music for the 1st quarter of the same year. Both Netflix and Altibox are billed for the 1st quarter of 2019, Google Play for the 2nd quarter of 2019, and Viaplay for the second half of 2018.

In addition, there are settlements from abroad and physical sales of music.

Last but not least, there are also routine subsequent settlements for previous periods (maximum 3 years back) in the broadcasting area, concert area, cinema, etc., as well as corrections.

On the web service My TONO TONO members can view their balance and all transactions in their member account at any time. Here, they can also search for billing data for individual works across periods and categories with details about the individual performances.
