TONO settles 96,1 million

TONO is now paying out NOK 96,1 million to TONO members and foreign rights holders in the last ordinary quarterly settlement of the year. The area that provides the most in settlement to TONO members this time is the use of their music abroad.

Of the 96,1 million kroner that TONO is now settling in December, 53,7 million kroner goes to TONO members, money that is being paid out from TONO today. 40,3 million kroner goes to rights holders abroad, with payment in two weeks. Furthermore, 2,1 million kroner has been reserved for unidentified rights holders and - musical works, unannounced musical works, non-members, and disputed rights. All TONO members who have been settled money have today received a settlement letter from TONO by email regarding this.

Big numbers
TONO money is paid out for a total of 340,000 musical works to a total of 125,000 rights holders, of which 17,000 are TONO members. The largest area of ​​payment overall, for both Norwegian and foreign authors, is radio. The area that yields the most benefit for TONO members this time is, however, foreign income, with a total of NOK 16 million. It is worth noting that "On demand" services have overtaken radio as the largest income area for TONO members abroad.
