TONO is now paying a total of NOK 252,1 million to composers, lyricists and music publishers at home and abroad, of which NOK 118,6 million goes to TONO members. In addition, COVID-19 compensation is being paid from the Ministry of Culture for 2021.

Of the 252,1 million kroner that TONO is now settling, 118,6 million kroner goes to TONO members, 129 million kroner goes to rights holders abroad, while 4,5 million kroner is reserved for currently unidentified rights holders and musical works, currently unreported musical works, non-members and disputed rights.
TONO is also paying compensation for COVID-19-related loss of income for 2021. These are funds that the Ministry of Culture has allocated to TONO, and which are in addition to the settlement amount of NOK 252,1 million. Read more about how the compensation funds are distributed here..
Below you can see an overview of which channels and services TONO is billing for in the various performance areas in September.
In the table below you can see the total settlement amount divided by area, and how much is settled to TONO members and sister societies in other countries, as well as how much funds in various areas are currently undeliverable. The table does not include the compensation from the Ministry of Culture as this is not part of the settlement amount.
On the member portal My TONO TONO members can view their balance and all transactions in their member account at any time. Here, you can also search for settlement data for individual plants across periods and categories with details about the individual transfers. Settlement documents showing the number of transfers per channel/area for the individual settlement runs are available for download.
TONO reserves the right to make corrections to any errors in the settlement that are due to circumstances beyond our control. If such an error results in a licensee receiving too much or too little in settlement, the error will be corrected by subsequent payment or offset in the next payment.
Any complaints must be in writing and sent to TONO by November 15, 2022.
