/ 26/06/2026 / Willy MartinsenYour TONO license works as before, and there are no changes to how we calculate or invoice for music use. The remuneration you pay, whether you are a broadcaster, concert organizer, cafe operator or other user of music, is paid to music creators based on documented use of music, as before.
The media coverage is about internal disagreements among TONO members about how TONO should be developed further. This does not affect licensing, billing or payments.
TONO manages rights to a broad international repertoire, and ensures that music creators are paid when the music is used, both in Norway and internationally.
