TONO is now settling, in the third ordinary quarterly settlement of the year, kr 170,3 million. This makes this quarterly settlement the largest in TONO's history. 108,3 million of the total amount goes to TONO's members.
/ 27/09/2018 / Willy MartinsenThe third ordinary TONO settlement of the year is normally the largest, as it settles fees for concerts. This year's settlement is still larger than normal, NOK 40 million more than the autumn settlement in 2016, when TONO announced the previous record-breaking settlement.
– The music our members and their foreign colleagues write is a sought-after commodity for broadcasters, concert organizers, streaming services and other music users. At the same time, TONO's employees work hard to ensure that those who write the music have the best possible income from their music. We are pleased to be able to settle such a pleasant amount as we do today, says CEO Cato Strøm.
For the areas in the list below, the total is settled kr NOK 159,6 million. Of this, kr 97,6 million to members of TONO and kr 58,7 million to rights holders abroad, while kr NOK 3,3 million is reserved for unidentified rights holders/musical works, unannounced musical works, non-members and disputed rights.
In addition, it is settled kr 10,7 million to TONO members from Nordic settlement in the online area. This settlement includes the following areas:
