This year, approximately six million kroner in scholarships has been awarded to TONO members. 263 people have received scholarships.
/ 23/06/2011 / codexTONO's scholarship committee consists of two members from NOPA, two members from the Norwegian Composers' Association, one member from the Norwegian Music Publishers' Association and one independent representative.
Among the applications that met the formal requirements regarding membership period and application deadline, an overall assessment was made with emphasis on the following aspects:
The committee wants to give the scholarship recipients the opportunity and incentive to delve deeper, and has set the scholarship amounts in the ordinary scholarship scheme at the same level as last year's award. Five people will receive scholarships of NOK 100.000, twenty people will receive NOK 50.000, while 200 people will receive NOK 20.000.
Individuals marked with * have applied for a scholarship on behalf of several people. In these cases, the entire award amount is listed in the name of the main applicant.
In addition, 38 people receive a scholarship of 10.000 kroner under the scheme. Young Talents is for TONO members up to 21 years of age, and is funded by NOPA and the Norwegian Composers' Association.
