This year there are 107 nominees divided into 26 Spellemann categories. Spellemann is Norway's largest music award ceremony, and in April we will find out who will take home the prestigious Spellemann harps for the music year 2021. There will be full focus on Spellemann on all NRK channels in week 16 before it is rounded off with a TV show on Friday 22 April on NRK1.

"TONO Awards": Composer of the Year Award and Lyricist of the Year

TONO has been a partner with Spellemann for many years, and throughout the collaboration has been a guarantor that awards are given in the categories TONO's Composer's Award and Lyricist of the Year. TONO also appoints the juries for these categories. There are TONO members in most categories, not least in the other categories that also focus on the actual musical works and the creators behind them, such as Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. Since it is nevertheless TONO's Composer's Award and Lyricist of the Year that we have a special ownership of, it is natural to highlight these here. A Spellemann nomination is a victory in any case, but we still wish all nominees the best of luck!
