Summer has truly arrived, and as we head into July, we know that many of you are now in the midst of festival season – a time that for many music creators lays the foundation for much of next year’s TONO payouts. We wish everyone involved, both behind the scenes and on stage, a fantastic summer of music!
TONO is in a time of great change. In May, we announced that in 2024 we passed one billion kroner in revenue for the very first time – a historic milestone that underlines the value that collective management of copyright creates for both those who use it and those who create it.
At the same time, we are facing increased expectations, both from members and music users. It is about greater insight, better solutions and closer dialogue. In recent years, we have therefore put in extensive work to modernize the organization, develop new technology and strengthen relationships with both rights holders and customers. We are now rapidly approaching a point where the results of this work will be felt more clearly for those of you we work for. We are really looking forward to that.
