– When I started writing music, I didn't think a bit about the fact that I could actually make money from it. I just wrote what I wanted and thought the joy in the music was enough. When I got older and my career goal became that I would make a living from music, it was incredibly cool that tono could contribute to that! The music industry can sometimes be a landscape that is difficult to navigate. While there is an incredible amount of information to familiarize yourself with, it is also a terrain that is constantly changing where the rules can change in a second. That is why I am incredibly grateful that there are organizations like TONO that protect my rights and stand firm and safe in all the chaos! And on top of everything, TONO also helps to provide a small reminder that all the time you spend on music is worth it. It is very good to know that the music we write actually has value!
