Several of Music Norway's grant schemes have a deadline today, June 1. The new scheme Kickstart 21 has a deadline of June 15.
/ 01/06/2021 / Kristian DugstadMusic Norway is the export office for Norwegian music. The foundation is run by the Ministry of Culture and distributes money each year through a number of grant schemes to facilitate music exports.
The permanent grant schemes have multiple application deadlines during the year. For three of the schemes below, the first application deadline is June 1. For Kickstart 21, the closest deadline is June 15.
Travel allowance for performers and creators – deadline March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1.
– Applications can be made for travel and accommodation costs for international concert activities, meetings and co-writes.

Marketing grants with the aim of increasing demand, interest and visibility for Norwegian performers, composers, songwriters and music companies internationally – deadline June 1, March 1, September 1 and December 1

Organizer subsidy scheme for Press and expert visits, songwriter gatherings and International delegate programs at festivals – deadline March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1.
– Grants can be applied for for visits by foreign media and industry to arenas in Norway.
– For delegate programs in the first half of the year, the application deadline of December 1st can be used.

Kickstart 21 – Music Norway is establishing a temporary grant scheme to prepare Norwegian music life for the reopening of society after Covid-19. It will now be possible to apply for grants for projects that stimulate the initiation and further development of international collaborations. The goal is to increase interest, demand and sales of Norwegian-produced music internationally. Deadlines 15 June, 15 May, 15 August and 15 September.
