Promoting popular music

Project grants are awarded for various music policy initiatives that benefit popular music. The goal is to make Norwegian songwriters and the Norwegian repertoire known and to ensure that new music is created and played.

This can include workshops, courses, dissemination, cultural history projects, etc. Project grants are not awarded for recording, touring, promotion or other projects of a personal nature.

Project grants are awarded four times during the year, and the first application deadline is February 1. After that, you can apply by April 1, September 1, and November 1.

A complete overview of the group associations' grant schemes can be found on the websites of NOPA, Composers' Association og The music publishers.
