Are you writing music for a concert? Or have you commissioned a work? Then you can apply to the Norwegian Composers' Fund. The next application deadline is October 3rd at 13:00 PM.
/ 12/09/2022 / Kristian DugstadThe Norwegian Composers' Fund is a foundation that aims to stimulate music creation in all genres. They do this primarily by supporting the commissioning of new music from composers who live and work in Norway, and who have publicly demonstrated their professional activity as a composer.
The fund was established under the Act on fees to the Norwegian Composers' Fund. According to the law, TONO, as a company that operates as an intermediary for authors of musical works, must pay an annual fee of two percent of gross income. Only TONO is covered by this law. In other words, the funds of the Norwegian Composers' Fund originate from TONO.
The fund has two application deadlines per year, and the last one in 2022 is October 3 at 13:00 PM.
