As announced in May 2021 From January 1st, TONO will no longer accept paper music reports of music performed in church services and other ceremonies. From the new year, all reporting must be done digitally via TONO's reporting service at My TONO.

Well received

Solutions for digital reporting to TONO have been in demand. The solution TONO launched in May 2021 was initially aimed at religious communities and congregations, and has been well received.

– As of now, there are several hundred congregations and parishes that use the digital reporting solution, and we are constantly seeing new users reporting digitally from different faith communities. From May until the New Year, we have encouraged congregations to start using the service, but from the New Year it will no longer be possible to report to TONO by filling out paper forms or by sending completed forms as attachments to e-mail. All reporting must be done via the digital solution at Mitt TONO at tono.no, says TONO's communications manager, Willy Martinsen.

From the new year, as a TONO reporter reporting performances in ceremonies, you must use the digital service "My TONO".

In constant development

Users of the service have been good at providing feedback to TONO, says Martinsen:

– Yes, we have received a lot of feedback and some requests for improvements, and we welcome that with gratitude as we are continuously working to make the service even better. All users who have something on their mind are asked to contact us at ceremony@tono.no.

More song and hymn books have been added

TONO has added a number of hymn and songbooks to further simplify the reporting of ceremonies.

– We started with the hymnbooks of the Church of Norway, but have since also added the Seventh-day Adventist Church's "Hymns and Songs on the Way Home", we have added the Methodist Church's hymnbook, the Evangelical Lutheran Church Community (DELK)'s hymnbook, and are currently working on the Salvation Army. If more religious communities want to add the titles in their hymnbooks and hymnbooks as a pre-selected option in TONO's reporting solution, please contact us at ceremony@tono.no, encourages Martinsen.
