Henriksen is a singer himself, and believes that lyrics and voice are far more important than melody and arrangement.
– The strange thing is that there can be little diamonds wrapped in horrible arrangements. You find a text in there that is absolutely magical. I choose according to the text, and I like people who sing with their whole being. They don't have to sing so amazingly well, but you have to be knocked to the ground by someone, he says.
