The EU is now conducting a public consultation, the purpose of which is to assess copyright in EU countries. In this consultation, everyone can make their voice heard – including you! The Commission will use the consultation to form a picture of the attitudes of European citizens, organisations, composers, authors, artists and other relevant groups towards copyright, particularly in a digital context.
You are signing that the entire European community of music creators stands together and wants creative industries, which depend on copyright – and which create millions of jobs in Europe (a total of about 9.4 million) – to have safe conditions, also in the future. You are also signing that creative industries and music creators are important for our societies and for the various national economies. Your signature is important.
