Just before Christmas, the English music service rara.com entered into an agreement with TONO that makes the service available to Norwegian music users.

We see that both the number of services and the number of users are increasing, and this is of course good news for TONO's members, continues Mey. The negotiations with rara.com have taken place without major difficulties and were completed in a short time.
Norway is a pioneer when it comes to digital music services. Before Christmas, TONO announced that 2011 was the year in which revenue from digital sales surpassed physical music sales. See , and
The streaming service rara.com was launched in many countries in December. For a monthly subscription, users get access to about 10 million songs. Rara.com operates an introductory offer, but a regular subscription will be available for kr 49,99 or kr 99,99 per month.
