For 50 years, composer and opinion leader Synne Skouen has spoken out in public about narrow artistic expressions. She is a guest on TONO's podcast.

Composer Synne Skouen has held roles in several areas of Norwegian cultural life for many decades. Among them are leadership roles at NRK and leadership of the Norwegian Composers' Association. 2020 marks not only her 70th birthday, but also her 50th anniversary as an opinion leader and journalist.

Throughout her career, Skouen has been concerned with gender equality and women's struggles. Not only in her expression of opinion, but also in her music.

– I don't think I've written a note that doesn't somehow signal that I'm a woman, she says in the episode.
