These are, to put it mildly, turbulent times in the world, and music gives us both comfort, hope, and the belief that something unchanging still binds us and the world together.

Spring is a busy time for all businesses. Last year will be settled, annual meetings will be held in addition to great activity in all parts of the organization. During this period, we at TONO also participate in a number of meetings with our international partners and sister societies. Despite turbulent times, the collaboration on joint management of our international repertoire is solid.

Here at home, we at TONO have been engaged in dialogue with the event organisers regarding new tariffs in the concert sector. On 1 April, the tariff for the largest tariffs was raised from 2 to 2,5 percent of gross ticket revenue. We have also listened to the questions we have received as part of the feedback round on how subsidies can be included in the remuneration basis. In particular, there have been questions about how a new scheme will work in practice, and we will therefore work to clarify this in the future.

An important element of TONO's business strategy going forward is to ensure that we build stronger relationships with both creators and users of music. We therefore want to invite you to even more meeting places in the future, both to tell more about how we work, but also to listen carefully so that TONO functions the way both creators and customers need.

Happy Easter!
