– TONO has been a partner with Spellemann since 2009. We will be next year as well. Spellemann is an important event that draws attention to new Norwegian music. Both the industry and the audience need it, says Willy Martinsen.
When TONO and Spellemann entered into a collaboration almost 17 years ago, composer and lyricist awards were established. Today, TONO is still the guarantor of, and appoints the jury that selects the winners in the categories. TONOs composer award og TONO's copywriting award.
Categories Songwriter of the Year will not be continued in 2025, but TONO would like to remind you that both TONO Composer's Award og TONO's Copywriting Award are genre-independent.
– These awards are for all composers and lyricists – whether they work in pop, metal, ballads, folk music, hip-hop or contemporary music. The awards thus cover TONO's entire diverse membership, says Martinsen.
