– TONO has been a close partner with Spellemann for quite a few years now because we believe that the Norwegian music industry, the audience and not least the authors and music publishers need such an award. There are not many other events that promote newly written Norwegian music to the same extent in such a continuous and high-profile way. In a crisis year for Norwegian music like this, one could also say that there has hardly been a greater need for Spellemann than right now. More than ever, we need initiatives that promote and direct attention to newly written Norwegian music, says TONO's communications manager, Willy Martinsen.
