Anyone who wishes can contact TONO in writing and request information about how we handle actual and potential negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. See form at the bottom of the page.
TONO must also respond to information requests made anonymously.
The right to information does not include information that is classified under the Security Act or protected under the Intellectual Property Act.
We will respond to information requests in writing and within a reasonable time, no later than three weeks after receipt.
If the amount or type of information requested makes it disproportionately burdensome to respond to the information request within three weeks, TONO may exceptionally extend the deadline by up to two months. In such cases, TONO will inform the information requester that we will not be able to provide a response within three weeks, why we will not meet the deadline, and when the information requester can expect a response.
TONO must basically answer all questions we receive, but a request for information may be refused if:
- the claim does not provide sufficient basis for identifying what the claim applies to
- the claim is clearly unreasonable
- the requested information concerns information about someone's personal circumstances
- the requested information concerns information about technical devices and procedures or other operational or business conditions that it would be of competitive importance to keep secret for reasons related to the information
