Wednesday, October 23rd, it's time for a new "Music Forum" at Blå. The theme will be the genre division of music as a phenomenon. Professor Anne Danielsen and music journalist Guttorm Andreasen will each give a half-hour presentation on the topic. The event starts at 19 p.m., and admission is free.

Anne Danielsen will talk about differences in values, artistic focus, production ideals, listening styles and distribution between selected genres in the music field, partly based on results from the research project "Sky & Scene" at the University of Oslo. Guttorm Andreasen will talk about his experience of genre as both a music communicator and performer - which "genre obligations" must be fulfilled and what happens when the rules are broken?
