On May 30th, the annual meeting of the cooperative TONO SA was held. New members were elected to TONO's board, control committee, scholarship committee and election committee.
/ 31/05/2017 / codexTONO's annual meeting took place yesterday, May 30, at the House of Literature in Oslo. Here, TONO's annual accounts for 2016 were approved by the shareholders in the cooperative TONO SA, and a number of new representatives were elected to TONO's board and other committees.
Board of Directors
This year, there were elections for five representatives and five alternate representatives for two years to TONO's board, as well as three alternate representatives for one year (supplementary election). After the election, the representatives below thus constitute TONO's board. The board itself elects, in its first meeting, a chairman and deputy chairman from among the board members for one year. The names in italics in the table are those who were up for election this year, all for two years - with the exception of some positions that were to be filled for one year, because some alternate representatives have been moved to permanent positions in the middle of their election period.

Free positions on the scholarship committee
TONO's scholarship committee consists of two members from NOPA, two from the Norwegian Composers' Association, one from the Norwegian Music Publishers' Association and two on vacant positions. The associations' representatives are appointed by the associations, while TONO's annual meeting elects representatives for the vacant positions. Representatives for vacant positions were elected at the annual meeting. The following were elected:

Election Committee
It is the TONO board that, according to the articles of association, § 24 (1), third sentence, is tasked with proposing representatives to the election committee to the annual meeting. The annual meeting accepted the board's recommendation. The election committee thus consists of the following representatives for the upcoming two-year period:
