New arrangement with reporting from local radio

From January 1, 35 local radio stations will report to TONO. These music reports will form the basis for billing local radio play to TONO members.

The new scheme has been developed in collaboration with Gramo and the Local Radio Association, and involves 35 local radio stations around the country starting to report to TONO what music they actually play. The 35 stations have been selected on the basis of geographical spread, and that they collectively constitute a diverse repertoire. The intention is that the 35 stations should be representative of all local radio in Norway. The reports from these stations will now form the basis for future settlements for music played on local radio stations.

A pilot project has been completed with the first test reports submitted to TONO in the second half of November.
