The new TONO board now has the highest priority of establishing a new settlement model. The goal is to adopt general principles for settlement at an extraordinary annual meeting as early as autumn 2024.
/ 17/06/2024 / TONO's boardTONO's annual meeting on 11 June rejected the board's proposal for main principles for a new settlement model. The new TONO board therefore wishes to emphasize to all TONO members, customers, sister societies and other affected parties that the work of introducing a settlement model that fully complies with the requirements of, among others, the Collective Management Act and CISAC's business rules is the organization's most important issue in the summer and autumn of 2024.
Work has already begun in the administration to address the points raised at the annual meeting, which led to the proposal not receiving the necessary majority.
TONO's board will meet on Tuesday, June 25, and will shortly thereafter present a plan for further work with a concrete timetable leading up to the annual meeting decision, and an extraordinary annual meeting in the fall of 2024.
