Norwegian Folk Music and Dance Association must withdraw hasty accusations against Helene Bøksle of "plagiarism"

Producer Sindre Hotvedt has corrected and apologized to TONO that an error was made in the review of the work "Natta vi har". TONO therefore expects that the case is approaching its resolution, and that the Norwegian Folk Music and Dance Association will withdraw its hasty accusation against Helene Bøksle of violating the Copyright Act.

TONO's registrations are based on a relationship of trust between the rights holders and TONO. After our meeting with the producer Sindre Hotvedt, it is quite obvious that neither the producer nor the author intended to acquire rights they do not have. The accusations that the Norwegian Folk Music and Dance Association makes against TONO that we are "giving away" composer rights are absurd in their own right.

Any registrations that, for various reasons, contain errors will be revealed when the works are made public, as in this case, for example.

However, we think it is unreasonable to go so strongly in public with accusations against Helen Bøksle and against TONO as the Norwegian Folk Music and Dance Association has done. It strengthens our belief that there are other motives behind it than copyright protection.
