NOPA turns 75 in 2012 and it will be marked in various ways throughout the year.
/ 03/01/2012 / codexIn the coming year, NOPA will focus on those who create lyrics, music and arrangements in our country. NOPA wants Norwegian music to be performed in as many arenas as possible during the anniversary year, and they have therefore been in contact with a wide range of people within the Norwegian music scene. The anniversary will be marked throughout the year with a number of activities.

• Through 30 articles, some of the country's leading cultural journalists and musical professionals have each written their own contribution to the book.
• It is not only about what has happened in popular music since NOPA's founding in 1937, but for us at NOPA it is particularly important to represent all the different genres that our members work with.
• The book is divided into genres: Pop, rock, film music, children's music, Sami music, folk songs, hip-hop, etc.
• In this way, we hope to highlight how rich and diverse the Norwegian songwriter community is.
• In addition, over 60 of our members tell stories about how well-known and beloved songs came to be.
• In the book you will also find links to where you can hear the songs mentioned online.
