NOPA presented awards

One of TONO's three group associations, NOPA, has awarded the prizes “NOPA's Music Prize”, “NOPA's Text Prize” and the “Cardamom Scholarship”.

The awards were made at the Grand Hotel in Oslo on December 11th. 

NOPA annually awards the NOPA Music Prize – worth 25.000 kroner – to a composer. The work must have been performed for the first time this year. The 2013 NOPA Music Prize went to: for

 John Ivar Bye, Tone Hulbækmo, Eigil Berg and Ingrid Bjørnov

 

Every year, NOPA awards the NOPA Text Prize – worth 25.000 kroner – to a copywriter. The text must have been published for the first time this year. The NOPA Text Prize 2013 went to the text

 NOPA awards the Cardamom Scholarship once a year. The Cardamom Scholarship is a gift from Thorbjørn Egner. It is a travel or work grant of 50,000 kroner and is normally shared between a composer and a lyricist. The purpose is to stimulate further cultural production.
