NOPA, one of three group associations in TONO, is heavily present at Arendalsuka. At 6:30 PM tonight you can watch a live stream of a debate about the Copyright Act that they are hosting there.
/ 18/08/2016 / codexSince 2012, Arendalsuka has brought together business people, cultural actors and politicians for discussion and debate. This week it is being held again, and NOPA, which is an interest organization for composers and lyricists and one of three group associations in TONO, is heavily present there.
– We are here with two concepts, one is Young Cultural Expression and the other is a debate on the draft of the new Copyright Act, says Ingrid Kindem, chairwoman of NOPA. – Young Cultural Expression is a collaboration between the National Concerts, the Music Equipment Scheme, Arendalsuka and NOPA, where the Music Equipment Scheme is contributing one of its music bins, which is a fully equipped practice studio for use by leisure clubs and others who lack facilities to give children and young people a platform to learn to express themselves musically.
Several key politicians have visited the bin, including State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture Bård Folke Fredriksen and Liberal Party leader Trine Skei Grande.

Debate about the Copyright Act
If you are not in Arendal this week, tonight you can follow a live stream of NOPA's second event at Arendal Week, a debate on the new Copyright Act, which has now been sent out for consultation.
NOPA is organizing the debate together with the Artists' Network, and will have a panel consisting of, among others, State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture Bård Folke Fredriksen, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party Ola Elvestuen, NOPA leader Ingrid Kindem and others.
You can watch the debate at 6:30 PM live online by clicking on the YouTube image at the top of this article.
