Due to the transition to central administration of recording rights at NCB's head office in Copenhagen, the local Nordic NCB branches will close on May 31st.
/ 22/05/2012 / codexFrom June 1st this year, all administration of music in Nordic record productions will be transferred to NCB's head office in Copenhagen. The same will be the case for music in AV productions. This change means that no clearance and licensing of music for so-called individual producers (case-by-case, work-by-work) will be carried out locally. The centralization is a natural consequence of an increasingly automated search and licensing process, so that manual handling has to some extent now been replaced by WEB applications where producers clear and pay for music rights online. This automation now makes it possible for NCB in Copenhagen to administer recording rights for both individual producers and standard producers. From June 1st, all contact in connection with recording music will be with a Norwegian-speaking case manager in Copenhagen. A Norwegian telephone number will be established for the case manager.
TONO will maintain a direct level of information and service to our members and their recording rights even after the closure. We are therefore expanding TONO's member service with a position from the same date, with recording rights as a special area.
