TONO supports the petitions #Nårmusikkenstilner and #visyngerut, where women in various parts of the Norwegian music scene have signed the petitions to end sexual harassment, abuse and violence.

There has been a lot of attention recently about harassment and sexual assault in the entertainment industry both internationally and in Norway. More than a thousand women from different parts of the Norwegian music industry have now signed the petitions #Nårmusikkenstilner and #visyngerut. The petitions demand zero tolerance for sexual assault, harassment and violence. Many have also shared unpleasant and painful experiences.

TONO wholeheartedly supports the campaigns. We must all be able to demand and expect that our industry will have an unwavering basic principle that we should all meet each other with basic respect and professionalism in everything. TONO praises the initiatives #nårmusikkenstilner and #visyngerut, and we hope, believe and expect that the campaigns will contribute to strengthening professionalism and culture in Norwegian music life.

Chairman of the board of TONO, Ingrid Kindem and managing director of TONO, Cato Strøm
