Several European copyright organizations, including TONO, are currently experiencing challenges with their digital membership services. The problems have arisen in connection with the transition to a new technical platform by our and other companies' technical subcontractors.
/ 03/03/2025 / Willy MartinsenThe migration involves moving TONO's works database from physical servers to a cloud-based platform. This will provide increased capacity, better security, greater flexibility and improved data quality. However, as several TONO members have noted over the past few weeks, the migration of the works database has led to some technical challenges:
– Most of the migration of TONO's plant information to the new cloud-based solution is going according to plan, but as with all major technical transitions, challenges may arise that need to be resolved along the way. Our subcontractor is working intensively to rectify the problems, but unfortunately we cannot rule out that it will take a few days before everything is working properly. We deeply apologize to the members who are affected, says TONO's Membership Manager Jan Espen Storo.
Currently, the challenges affect, among other things, the ability to register works and concerts, and to access work lists and work details.
While the subcontractor is working on fixing the error, TONO has deployed extra resources to contribute to the fastest possible solution.
