The songwriter camp by:Songs is being held for the fourth time this year, and this time TONO is the main sponsor. In the studios Tanken in Sandvika and Whiteroom in Asker, a very famous selection of songwriters from Norway, the USA, Sweden and several other countries will meet this week to write and produce songs together. Here are people who have written for Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Alan Walker and many other famous names.

But, even more unestablished people are getting it. With support from TONO, by:Songs has invited to a talent competition. There were many very good entries, but those who were ultimately selected by the jury consisting of By:Songs, Music Norway and TONO were the producer Stille and toplister Mifiam Mwanga.
TONO's Membership Manager, Jan Espen Storo, is impressed by the level:
– There were many very good entries, and it was difficult to choose winners. We still ended up with Stille and Miriam Mwanga, and I believe that they will contribute very well to by:Songs, and that we will hear a lot from them in the years to come.
The jury pointed out that Stille has a unique sound, and that he stood out in a positive way from the remaining applicants. He also shows musical maturity, and has a unique ear for sound in a contemporary context. Topliner Miriam Mwanga shows a good flair for urban and R&B, the jury believes. She also shows a good understanding of lyrics. The jury also points out that it is positive that she is a woman in this context.
So who are these two?
Miriam Mwanga is a young singer and songwriter from Kristiansand, now living in Oslo. Miriam operates in a modern soundscape with inspiration from R'n'B, soul and genre-bending pop. She is currently completing a number of songs that will be her first proper releases after she released the single "Lay red" in 2015, which was among other things highlighted as one of the best songs of the year by Marie Komissar in her R'n'B program on NRK P3.
Producer Stille, born Fredrik Dagenborg, is 26 years old and has just finished a bachelor's degree in music production. He is primarily a producer, but also has his own artist project. He has worked mostly on his own projects and remixes so far, but wants to work more with other artists in the future.
