TONO must adopt new settlement principles to meet legal requirements. Voting members have today received an invitation to an extraordinary annual meeting on August 28 and an information meeting on August 19.
/ 14/08/2024 / Willy MartinsenTONO must adopt settlement principles to meet the requirements of, among others, the EU CRM Directive, the Collective Management Act and CISAC's business rules. The principles must be adopted by TONO's annual meeting.
After TONO's annual general meeting on June 11 did not adopt the board's proposal for settlement principles, the board has continued to work on them throughout the summer. The revised principles are still clear, easy to understand and in line with a European standard. The TONO board is unanimous in recommending that the TONO annual meeting adopt them. Read more about this here: "Tono board unanimously behind new settlement principles".
TONO voting members are encouraged to attend both the information meeting on August 19 and the extraordinary annual meeting on August 28. Both meetings will be held at the Popsenteret at Trondheimsveien 2 in Oslo. Those who cannot or do not wish to attend physically will be able to participate digitally.
The information meeting will last from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (doors open at 1:00 PM) and the extraordinary annual meeting will begin at 6:00 PM (doors open at 5:00 PM). Only voting members of TONO and any proxy holders may attend TONO annual meetings.
At the information meeting on August 19, thorough information will be provided on why TONO must adopt new settlement principles. The principles will be reviewed and there will be an opportunity to ask questions to TONO's Chairman of the Board Ole Henrik Antonsen, CEO Karl Vestli and other relevant persons from TONO's administration.
Invitations to both meetings have been sent out today to TONO's voting members by email. In addition to the documents, there is also information on how to register for both meetings physically or digitally, and how to use the annual meeting portal.
The news about the information meeting and the extraordinary annual meeting was first announced on tono.no June 27th and in the newsletter to members on June 28th.
